Ashu Mishra was born on May 4, 1993 in the literary city of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. He is currently based in Bareilly. A graduate in computer science. With a bent towards poetry and philosophy since childhood, he pursued an MA in Philosophy and is currently preparing for a PhD. Ashu Mishra is a young poet who has almost instantly established his unique identity on the literary scene based on his unique expression, breadth of ideas, and artistic abilities. His poetry is a palette of social, cultural, romantic, and critical motifs. He is dexterous at composing Nazms, but it is his signature Ghazal composition which is unusually unique. His Ghazals have come to notice in the selective works titled, ‘Qafila-e-Nau-Bahaar’, published by Rekhta, encompassing the best writings of young poets.

ek nazar muD ke mujhe dekh ai jaane wale

ik nazar muḌ ke mujhe dekh ai jaane vaale
ye jo lamhe haiñ kabhī phir nahīñ aane vaale
kitnī pākīza jagah hai ki jahāñ par logoñ
ahl-e-maqtal haiñ mirī laash jalāne vaale
ġham-e-daurāñ ke masā.ib kā mudāvā kyā hai
ishq bas ishq batāte haiñ batāne vaale
yahī sab log haiñ in sab ne mirā qatl kiyā
ye mirī qabr ko phūloñ se sajāne vaale
maiñ ne ye baat bahut der se jaanī ‘fahmī’
saare va.ade nahīñ hote haiñ nibhāne vaale
